Year 10 Student Council Elected at NSETC

The student voice at North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College has created the College’s first Year 10student council. 

The council is made up of six students, three elected by their peers and three who applied for a council position and were interviewed by James Sully, Head of Year 10, and the senior leadership team.

Members of the school council are Alex Drummond, David Holmes, Josh Miller, Will Fletcher, James McShane and Kaylee Molton (featured in the photo above).

So far the school council has suggested and helped to organise two celebration events: a first was a movie and pizza evening and a trip to AirHop.

The student council meet regularly and discuss matters such as the food in the canteen and enrichment activities they would like at the end of the school day. They then feedback these discussions to the senior leadership team.Currently, the student council is organising a residential trip for the end of the year.
