The NSETC, is a specialist STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) College that combines excellence of teaching with superb facilities and industry support. The Academy is part of Inspirational Futures Trust, a multi-academy trust sponsored by the Weston College Group.
Dr Paul Phillips CBE, Principal and Chief Executive of the Weston College Group praised the Academy and the Trust, he said: “Whilst both Trust and NSETC are in their developmental stages, the focus brought by the Trust Executive Sue Ivermee, the Chair Elspeth Davies, governors and staff demonstrates dynamism and commitment to all learners.”
He also praised the significant contribution made by staff from across the Trust and College to bring the project to fruition recognising that the Trust was learner focussed, purposely small to realise learner potential but large enough to have real impact.
At the NSETC this morning, the Chair of Governors Andy Davidson and the Principal Dr Darran George expressed their excitement and pleasure at receiving these superb results.
They both echoed the comments of Dr Paul Phillips, recognising that the Weston College ethos was now having impact at the NSETC.
