Herons Moor Academy

Herons' Moor Academy

Herons’ Moor Academy is a large modern primary school in Locking Castle, Weston-super-Mare. There is a very strong sense of community at the academy, with pupils and adults working closely together to benefit the potential of every learner.

The academy’s vision is ‘happy children are successful children’. To achieve this vision the academy provides an environment where everyone feels secure, valued and happy. It aims to develop every child to become a responsible citizen who will contribute positively to society.

The academy seeks to develop a culture of respect through awareness, understanding and acceptance of others within a positive and supportive environment. It values and promotes the personal qualities of honesty, trust, openness, tolerance, consideration and kindness. Herons’ Moor Academy provides the appropriate learning opportunities so each child can become responsible for their own learning and reach their full potential.

The academy recognises and celebrates all achievement and its strengths lie in academic progress, pastoral care, an exciting, relevant and creative curriculum and the wide range of opportunities provided, its joint working with The Campus and Baytree School and a positive, innovative attitude.
