Children in Need at Herons’ Moor Academy and Baytree School

Pupils from Herons’ Moor Academy and Baytree School have been raising money for BBC Children in Need on Friday 13th November by dressing as their childhood heroes and creating a Pudsey Bear out of coins.

Julie Fox, head teacher of Herons’ Moor Academy, which is part of the Inspirational Futures Trust, within the Weston College Group, said the aim was to raise as much as possible for the charity, whilst having lots of fun.

She said: “As a school we are very good at raising money for charity, the pupils really enjoy raising money for a cause that helps people of their own age. “The money raised today will go towards helping disadvantaged children and young people in the UK and will make a big difference to their lives.”
